The Splicer ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our video processing tools at thesplicer.app.
The short version: we do not collect, store, or retain any of your video files or personal data beyond what is strictly necessary to process your payment.
All video processing happens entirely in your browser. Your video files are never uploaded to our servers. Frame extraction and silence detection are performed locally on your device using browser-native APIs (Canvas, Web Audio).
We have no access to your video content, and no copy of your footage is ever transmitted to or stored by us.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number, CVV, or any other sensitive payment details.
The only payment-related information we receive from Stripe is a confirmation that a payment was successfully completed and the tier that was purchased. No card data ever passes through our systems.

We do not maintain a database of customer records, purchase histories, or personal profiles. Once your Stripe payment session is completed, we retain only the minimum metadata required to validate your one-time session (e.g. session ID and tier). This is not linked to any personally identifiable information on our end.
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties for marketing, analytics, or any other purpose.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics scripts. The site may use minimal session storage in your browser solely to maintain your payment unlock state during a single session. This data never leaves your device.
All purchases are one-time, non-refundable payments for a single processing session. Because all processing is local and immediate, we are unable to verify usage or reverse completed sessions. If you experience a technical issue, please contact us and we will do our best to assist.
Our service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
